So you just bought a new or used boat. You and your family are
looking for some great days ahead on the water. You will have
life jackets, water toys, etc., on board, but you forgot something!
That is a spare prop. If you damage yours, you will be glad to
have one on board, and will be able to change your prop out.
At home, you should have already made sure you have the correct
prop, know what you have to do to change it, and what tools you
need.
Let's say you damage your prop, you get into the water to change
it out in hopes of staying on the water, then you drop a washer,
nut, bolt, or your tools. Then you need to be towed into the dock.
This is were the PROP SOCK comes in. Because the PROP SOCK will
catch the items you may drop. The PROP SOCK is an inexpensive
way to save the day.
With the PROP SOCK your problem is solved. The PROP SOCK will
fit a 9 horse engine up to a 300 horse out drive. You put the
PROP SOCK around your prop and pull the rope to just fit the lower
unit. Your lower unit is raised out of the water and there is
room to work on the exchange, without dropping anything.
NOTE:
Please try out your tools on your prop before you head for open
water.
